CHINAS COMIDAS was influential in the development of the late 1970s Seattle punk/poetry/performance arts scene.  The band moved to Los Angeles in 1980 where they found success and toured with the Dead Kennedys before calling it quits.  Leader Cynthia Kramen (Chinas Comidas) is a well-known American poet.
